I've decided I want one of my friends to become ordained so they can officiate at my wedding. None of this hugely-expensive not-quite-what-I-want ceremony. It's only going to be ten minutes long anyway, if that. :P

A friend of mine did that, at the cerimony he closed with
"by the power vested in me by the internet, I now pronounce you man and wife!"

Re:
Oh dear. :)

I think I'm going with a justice of the peace or something. But I thought it'd be funny to do it a la Friends (Joey did Monica and Chandler's ceremony). Hehe

My dad is an ordained minister. He's going to officiate my wedding. He was the officiant when two of my friends got married.

Is he available July 12, 2003? How much does he charge? Does he enjoy it?

Re:
I could ask him if he's available. He did charge anything last time I don't think. He's only done a handful of weddings, and not since my friends got married, but I think he thinks it's cool.

Re:
Well, free is good. :)

I did get a list of judges, too, so if he doesn't want to... where is he, anyway?

Re:
My friend's dad is a pastor. But he talked too much at her wedding, and I'm sure that'd happen if he married us. :)

You could always check with my Grandpa too, you know. He's a pastor and has been performing wedding ceremonies for years. Whenever I finally decide to get married, I want him to officiate at my wedding.
He's down in Rickreall and I'm not sure what he's doing in July, but he's probably free. I don't know how much he charges...
you can always email him or I could give you a number to call.
