I woke up in the middle of the night to cold wet rain splattering all over my face. We keep our window open, and I'm right underneath the open part. I shut the window a bit and then laid awake, listening to the downpour get harder and harder, and the gutters eventually overflow and slap the ground with the water it couldn't hold.

Of course it's sunny right now. But the temperature makes up for the sun. It's cold again. I love it!

I'm glad I'm not the only one. When I mention something about how excited I am about the rain, almost everybody at work looks at me like I'm stupid. :D

I'm still happy about the rain too :-) I know I won't be forever, but I LOVE fall and I LOVE the lead up to the holidays!
We started Thanksgiving planning yesterday- yes, already!!

Yay! Are you having Thanksgiving at your house or something? I need to start thinking about Christmas gifts, 'cause it takes forever to make them!

Actually, we usually have Thanksgiving at our house, but since Mike just bought a house we're having it there. It's always been the holiday that Wil & I celebrate with our friends and we all get really excited about the different foods we'll be making. We even have our own thanksgiving traditions.
What do you do for Thanksgiving?

It depends on which family member wants to have it at their house. The past couple of years, Cory and I went over to Mom's house in Redmond and had it there. Before that, though, we usually had it at Grandma's house. We don't necessarily have any traditions - we just get up in the morning and drive over, and have Thanksgiving lunch instead of dinner, and then sometimes we go for walks afterwards, or watch the parade in the morning (though that's gotten more and more boring the older I get, heh). But I love the weekend after, 'cause that's when I decorate for Christmas!!! (I'm trying to build up my decorations - I love Halloween and Christmas. Which reminds me, I need to get going on the cross-stitch stockings I'm supposed to be making. :)

Woo-Hoo For Rain
I also very much enjoy the rain; failing that, a nice cool gray day is awesome. I'm not a fan, however, of misting. Ugh, mist is just annoying because it clouds up your glasses and makes one blink rapidly as if there's something in your eye. No me gusta.

I do however gusta Guster. Well, "Fa Fa" from your wedding compilation CD, since I haven't heard any of their other stuff besides "Amsterdam." Unfortunately our library system seems not to gusta Guster so I am going to take the plunge and purchase the latest album, "Keep It Together," with my tip money from this evening's work.

Woo-hoo for not resorting to piracy (in this particular instance).

Re: Woo-Hoo For Rain
I'm glad you've decided to succomb to the buying of Guster. I hear they have Guster panties for sale now too. Mmm.

Tracks of note: Ramona, Jesus on the Radio, Diane... well, most of them.
