We still have a piece of that pie left. You can't even eat an entire piece in one sitting, it's so rich!

Hey, what is that guy doing to the cat in the last pic?

That just doesn't look right!!

That's my brother-in-law. He's just holding Trout - that's how we hold her for pictures. Kitty porn! Do you like her little pubic heart?

Captain Morgan's will do the job just fine. :)

Must find the recipe for that pie. :)

Here it is.
Dad says they rotate their recipes though, so cut and paste it somewhere.

Aww, thanks! I was so hot by that time that I had to change into a short-sleeved shirt. Annoying red cheeks. :)

Yeah, the day was great! I was so proud of myself!

Awesome pictures! Everything looked so yummy and wonderful!
I love your animals, they look so sweet. I'm not a big dog fan ever since I was bit, but Remmy looks very laid back.

My animals are awesome. :) I can understand not being a dog fan - I was never really bit, but my family is a cat family and we never really even knew people who had dogs. But Remmy IS really laid-back, and pretty well behaved. She's hurt me a couple of times, but they were just accidents. She'd never hurt on purpose. Plus, she's a golden, so she's a softmouth. (They were bred that way so they can go fetch ducks and stuff without biting them through.) I stick my arm in her mouth all the time. :)

When my parents were thinking of getting another dog I suggested a golden because they have such a gentle temperment.
How did she accidently hurt you?

Oh, we were playing with her once and she ran smack into my knee with her head. But it was our fault - we were chasing her and stuff. But I couldn't sleep on my stomach for ages after that, 'cause the bruise was so bad. Oh, and once she was playing with us on the bed and she stepped on my thigh and pinched/scraped it up pretty good. But again, it was 'cause of us getting her riled up, and because she's not quite smart enough to realize we're more tender than she is. :)

Awwww! hehe
Those kind of incidents are understandable. I was thinking she accidently snapped at you or something.

No, she's never actually bitten me, not even accidentally, which is nice. :)

Thanks! And the turkey looked weird, I think - it wasn't nice and brown all the way around. Oh well - it still tasted good!

Wow, I'm impressed. You did an awesome job with all that cooking. And it looks like everyone had fun.

I like Trout's pubic heart. That's a cool accessory. ;) And Remmy looks very sweet.

I was so proud of myself! Too bad there are no leftovers left. I should do it again! :D

When Trout was shaved for her spaying, it was a lot more noticeable - in fact I don't think we noticed it was a heart until it was bald.

You all have those vintage national parks posters my mom loves so much. I think she was going to buy them while we were at Glacier or Yellowstone last year but she decided she had already spent too much money or something.

In my family, only my dad does after Thanksgiving football. And since he was in Denmark this year, it ended up being my aunt's husband, my brother, my cousins, and myself playing Super Smash Brothers. Tradition!

Those national parks posters were our biggest honeymoon souvenirs - they're like thirty bucks each, unframed. Yikes.

And I don't know what Dad was talking about when he said football. Nobody watched footbal. :D

I actually think my mom might have bought the postcards and she intends to frame those as a set, but I'm not for sure.

We bought all twelve greeting cards and framed those. They're in two rows down the hallway wall. We have 6 of the big posters, and four vintage-esque framed pictures of some national parks in California that Cory used to visit a lot when he lived down there. And we have vintage Yellowstone postcards in the bathroom, and some black and white greeting cards from Santa Fe in the bedroom too. You should have seen our walls before we got married. Everybody complained about them being so stark and white. Now they're completely covered. :)

Yay! Thanks! I know, my hair is huge now! I can't tell sometimes because it's really layered so the parts that fall over my shoulders are several inches shorter than the rest. We're not completely following it, but we at least have guidelines for most meals. :)

Yay, stockings! Let's chat about them in a bit - I have to make six others first! :D I'll try my hardest to get stockings to you before Christmas, since it'd be no fun otherwise.

So, now that I'm thinking about it, we're not going to decorate our house much and I just finished two stockings that I was going to hang up at our place - would you like them? They're red and green checks, with black toes and heels, and one of them has a red cuff and the other has a green cuff. With a jingle bell and a gold/silver loop to hang them. I can measure if you want - they're a nice size, probably 15-20" long, and not that wide...

I could! I'll make the cuffs a bit bigger so I can fit them on. :)

Now I just need an address. rivulet at mac dot com.
