Dec. 16th, 2003

Christmas cards are in the mail. If you're not on the west coast, I can't guarantee you'll get them before Christmas. But it's not my fault, I swear! More on that later. :)

I saw m00ngirl this morning on my way out of the parking lot, with her cute puppies. I didn't wave 'cause her back was to me.

I'm ready for it to be Friday. I'm tired of Tuesday already. Go away, Tuesday.

Oh yes, I almost forgot.
This morning, I called Cory to ask him a question, and in the middle of our conversation he said "uh-oh." and was quiet for a minute. I'd heard something in the background and didn't know what it was. A minute later, he told me - someone had come up the stairs and opened our door and started to come in. Remmy barked, and the person left really quickly. Freaky!! Nobody lives next-door to us right now. I have no idea who it could have been.

Lock the door?

We usually lock it when we're home (and when we're not) - the only time we don't is when I'm leaving for work in the morning or right after lunch. But now I'm definitely going to lock it after me, even if Cory and Remmers are there.

Personally, I think the most important time to have your house locked is when you're home. Stuff can be replaced. People can't.

That is definitely true. And I think since I have an indoor kitty who's around all the time, the door should be locked all the time too. I wouldn't want Trout to be robbed!!

I agree. There is a high demand for kitties named Trout on the black market. I just saw it on the news, today!

Oh no! I'm going to run home and shut the blinds so nobody gets any ideas! (Although, I do live on the third floor, so I'm not sure anybody would notice either way.)

That must SUCK on grocery day! We live on the first floor. I wonder how many times my neighbors have seen me naked, because the cat has swatted the window shade open...

Well, usually we don't get tons of groceries because it's just two of us. But when we moved in, Cory got heat exhaustion and started going loopy until I stuck him in the bathtub and ran cold water on him!

Whoa! How hot does it get there?

Well, it's been pretty hot the past couple of summers. The hottest it gets usually is 100 but it was in the high 90s all that day and Cory had just moved out of his apartment in Corvallis all by himself (a third floor apartment - he even moved his couch down to the moving truck all by himself!) and then he was running up and down the stairs with other great big heavy things. I was coming up the stairs and I heard him breathing really heavily and vocally, and he was on the floor when I got up there, and all shaky and stuff. So I made him take off his clothes and I put him in the bathtub and he started giggling and saying things like "I can't feel my fingers!" all excitedly. I made him eat some food too - he'd only had some french fries on the way up from Corvallis and hadn't even eaten his hamburger yet that day, and it was almost dinnertime.

Scary!

I sent your Christmas card too. My name is Robin, in case you didn't know! I don't think I have it on my journal.

Oh, yeah. Silly me. :/ I blame my under-the-weather state.
