It's hard to find apartments that allow dogs. It's not fun to look for them. Mostly because they'll be affordable and I'll get excited, and then they'll say "pets welcome" and I'll get more excited, and then they'll say in the fine print "combined pet weight 45 pounds, with a $200 deposit and a $100 refundable fee and a $5/month pet rent FOR EACH PET." Remmy alone is 70 pounds. I wish everybody was a responsible pet owner - it wouldn't make it so hard for other responsible owners to find an apartment.

Your dog weighs 70 pounds? Woah. You and I have very different dogs. Belle tops out the scale at 11 lbs.

You could always rent the basement of my new house!

Yeah, she's a golden retriever. And an out-of-shape one right now, because it's so muddy I don't want to let her run around in the field. :)

Could I take the basement of your new house to Corvallis? :P

Why and when are you moving to Corvallis?

We're moving at the end of April, and it's mostly because we like it there. It's a smaller town and they're more dog-friendly and we'll be able to go to Oregon State University. And it's cheaper. :) And the people don't drive like idiots as much. So lots of reasons!

Find a Realtor and get them to look for you :) They'll look at Duplex's, Condo's even small homes. And the cost to *you* is nothing. The person renting out the property pays the Realtor. :)

We live on a cul-de-sac of duplexs and there as to be at least 4 large dogs around us.

good luck :)

That's a good idea. Except I don't want to pay a realtor. :D I have a couple of places that I may be able to talk to about it - it's just that they're used to college students, not normal people. Hehe
