This morning Courtney said "what's that thing hanging down from under the cabinet?" I was in the other room but I ran in there when she and Kerrie started shrieking. It was a mouse in a mousetrap. I laid down on the floor and looked underneath, and there he was, his little nose still wiggling away. The girls freaked out when I told them he was still alive. Then Kerrie looked for her mousetrap to see if it was full too. Turns out the mousetrap under her desk was the one this little guy got his arm stuck in, and he dragged the whole trap across the room and backed into his little house. He's a strong fella! I let him go underneath the cabinet because I didn't want to pull the poor thing out by his arm.

So is he still stuck in the trap by one arm?
Poor mousey! I bet he'll try to chew his arm off to escape :-(

No, I let him out of the trap, and he's still under the cupboard. I didn't want to try to pull him out of the crack he was in 'cause I didn't want to hurt him. Otherwise I would have let him go outside somewhere.

ewewewew... I'd be freaked by the "not dead yet" part too.

I like mice, so it didn't bug me at all. I just felt bad that his arm was all torn up, and I'm kind of surprised that it didn't just snap his whole paw off - my mom was talking to me on the phone yesterday and shrieked because she opened a cupboard and a mouse fell out, and it was cut in half by the trap.
