On Friday, traffic in Salem was really bad because of a man who was trying to jump off of the Marion Street bridge; basically the only bridge in Salem that connects Salem proper with West Salem. My aunt lives in Salem, and then my grandma and other aunt live in West Salem. When I talked to Grandma on Friday evening, she said she had to go to around a different way that should have taken about half an hour tops but it took her 3.5 hours.

Anyway, I just found out that the suicidal guy was an employee of ours. He was employed at our Willamina location.

She went to go take the Wheatland Ferry didn't she? I've been on that once. It's teeny tiny and only holds like 4 cars at a time.

My poor Dad. He must have had a hell of a time at work that day.

No, I think it was probably River Road. It crosses Commercial about a mile south of downtown, and weaves in and out of forests along the river until you go over the river in Independence. And then you have to take 22 back towards Salem.

My Aunt Dawn took me that way once. I hated it. It felt so LONG

When I was going to school in Monmouth, I'd drive that way almost every weekend to do laundry at my aunt's house. I love that drive, it's so pretty.
