Cory's done with summer classes August 15th, and starts again a month later or so.

So we were thinking about taking a trip down to California for a week.

Places we wouldn't mind seeing:
Alcatraz
California Academy of Sciences
San Francisco Zoo
Winchester Mystery House
Chinatown
Muir Beach/Muir Woods/Mt Tam
Sausalito
Napa Valley (Calistoga, Sonoma)

Altogether the tours/admissions themselves (Alcatraz, CA Academy, Zoo, Winchester) are about $80 for both of us together.

We also would have to see my grandparents, his grandparents and his mom. I think that's it. Well, and Joel, but hopefully he'd lend us a place to sleep for a few days.

Now I shall look into kennels.

Another great idea for SF touristy stuff is to get a city pass. You can purchase them at http://www.citypass.com. We bought one for Seattle last week. A very good buy.

I love San Francisco. My kid brother lives there, so there really isn't any good excuse for us not visiting more often.

Have fun on your journey!

We looked into the CityPass, but it includes stuff we don't want to see, unfortunately. I did it for Chicago several years ago when I was there, though, and it was a good deal.
