Yesterday, we got a mysterious box (i.e. addressed to no-one in particular) full of mannequin feet and lower legs. I was thinking about it later, when Cory and I were talking, and I asked him this: if fat people lose a leg and have to get a "realistic-looking" prosthetic, do they get a fat prosthetic?

I just got a huge email from Mike's younger sister Jacque. She was telling me about what's going on with her family in Minnesota, and about Mike. He's apparently still in St. Louis with some friend, and they befriended a girl who was broke and gave her some money and then she broke into their apartment and stole all their stuff, and then his car got broken into and all the windows were smashed and the CD player was stolen. And he still doesn't have a job. I don't have a clue what he thinks he's doing. Ha

But Charity is doing really really well! She's starting to learn how to spell, and read, and I'm so mad that I can't be there to see her grow up. Well, not SO mad... I'd trade her for Cory any day... but still, it's sad that I can't see her anymore. Jacque said that she thought they'd be over here (i.e. Roseburg) during Thanksgiving, so maybe we can meet up! That would be neat! Jacque wants to meet Cory. (She's almost 19, so the whole meeting-the-man-of-your-dreams thing is exciting. :)

...so begins the hour of waiting until I can go home. Boy is this fun. I can't leave shipping because a courier could be coming to drop something off. I can't crochet because Lisa came in an hour or so ago and told me that Debbie thinks I'm not doing anything all day just because she's seen me crocheting at the computer once or twice. So I have to sit here and try to find something interesting to do on the computer for an hour.

I know. I can look for another job within the company. Let's try it.

Hmm. Design jobs and customer service jobs. There's a customer service clerk job, but that'd be worse than what I've got right now... at least there's more here today than there was yesterday. I think I'll have to wait for awhile. I know something good'll come along soon.

45 minutes left.

This morning I was looking at the calendar here at Glenn's desk, counting the weeks from now until we move into our new apartment. Today's the 13th. I counted the 20th and 27th of June, and then for July: the 4th and 11th and 14th... Hmm... seems like there are two 14ths of July this year, and no 18th. How funny!
