S&G 1

(no subject) says that in a poll by Harris Interactive, Portland ranks 8th among cities Americans say they'd like to live in or near. The first seven were: NYC (WTF?) San Diego, SF, Vegas, LA, Chicago, and Phoenix. I'm amused that Portland was the first city in the list that takes pride in what's not necessarily in the city, and what's not urban. We love our parks and the beach nearby and the mountains more than we love our city. Well, I do anyway.

Today I work for Donnita. So in half an hour I'll be making coffee. Woo freakin' hoo. It's all good, though. It means I get to go home at 2:30 and try to stay cool. I was thinking about dragging Cory to the beach this evening to beat the hottest part of the day, but I think he has to work until 5 anyway.

Tie for #9: Seattle and Denver
11: Atlanta
12: Orlando
Tie for 13: Boston and Honolulu
Tie for 15: Tampa and Miami

This weather is NOT helping me out, here. I'm SO cranky and I don't want to be but I can't help it. At least it's not as hot as it was yesterday.

Ugh. I just want to crawl in a hole and sleep for a week or two until this blows over.
