S&G 1

(no subject)

Ah, how I love Saturdays. Of course, I didn't get as much done as I wanted to, but that's a quintessential Saturday, no?

I did go shopping, during which time I found some clothes and Cory's V-day gift, which is decidedly unromantic, but whatever. I'd rather he like it than I think it romantic.

I also got groceries, which was also unromantic.

Then when I got home Cory went to work, which nixed my plans of cleaning out the car, so I reassigned my cleaning urges to the kitchen and living room. And I opened up the two windows in the house which have screens. Luckily they're on opposite sides of the house, which got a good draft going and hopefully sucked some of the musty smell out of here.

While I was vacuuming, Trout found her way out of the house through a hole in the screen of the front window, and when I turned off the vacuum and called for her I heard her yowling in the front yard. It was her I'm-about-to-vomit yowl, and I was glad she was outside 'cause I didn't want to have to clean it off the carpet. I grabbed her when she was finished and brought her back in, but then she puked 9 more times in different rooms of the house. I spent an hour following her around with a roll of paper towels and the bottle of carpet cleaner. Poor baby. She's all better now, begging to have some of the top sirloin I just put under the broiler and giving me love.

Tonight and tomorrow I will start my pattern for the spring CrochetMe again, as I got 3/4 of the way through a sleeve and decided I didn't like the Marguerite stitch that I'd been using. It's not open enough, I don't think. I don't know - choosing a stitch pattern seems like the hardest part of pattern-writing. Josie and Julie, how do you decide? Do you just go through Harmony guides, or do you usually have one in mind when you sketch the garment?
