Today I found out that being able to run has more to do with your state of mind than your physical effort. A million things went wrong in my head, and I really disappointed myself tonight at the Starlight Run. My shorts were riding up and I was hot and people larger than me were passing me and everybody seemed to be effortlessly running while I was struggling, and there were 200,000 people watching 173-pound me in my shorts running (or trying to run) next to 110-pound people... anyway, I was only two minutes longer than last time, but I felt like shit and I knew Cory was disappointed in having to walk so much...

...and then I had a beer.

my husband found some shorts at walmart that are really thick. Satin fisnish type on one side and the kind with holes (like a jersey) on the other. They are reversable and they are heavy so they hang well. I think they are starter brand. I always just stuck to demin that was a bit longer because it might be a little bit more uncomfortable but it didn't ride up. And people probably were just enjoying the view (*grin*)

Heh - I hope they were enjoying it! I'm not sure if anybody saw anything, but if they did, I hope it was fun. :)

But, hey: You Did It!!

I would never have the balls to be there in the first place.

Go Team M and C! :)

True, and really when it comes down to it I decided to just run more during "training" so I can do better next time, rather than give up. So it ended up being mostly positive. :)
