Post from 2:48pm

Today is a beautiful day. It's warm enough to have the windows open, the sun is sort of out, it's breezy, I've almost finished the laundry, and the guy who usually takes the nice weather as an opportunity to tinker with his truck stereo (he's the one who only plays one song, some oom-pah Mexican type song) is nowhere to be seen.

Remmy tried to spoil our plans to go to Dad's house by getting sick from eating all that chicken and plastic the other day. She woke Cory up twice during the night, we took her out maybe twice yesterday evening before bed, and she's been out twice this morning. Diarrhea is no fun. But we're going to take her with us and she's going to play in Dad's backyard, so hopefully it stays nice today.

Cory's out watching Torque with Joel. They missed the first showing so they're waiting to see the next one. He won't be home for another couple of hours. So I've done a bit of cleaning and laundry, and have tried to watch TV but nothing interesting's on. And the internet is down right now too.

Off to take a shower and read Time magazine.

Just to put things in perspective for you. Today is -25C, feels like -37C with windchill. My skin freezes when I take the dog outside. Her paws freeze and she does a little dance, trying to lift her feet off the ground. I'm wearing long johns and my legs are still cold.

Warm enough to have the windows open? We're just hoping our pipes don't freeze again!

Poor thing! :( I have never been that cold. And that's OK with me. But if it makes you feel better, it was just barely warm enough for the windows to be open - I had to bundle up a bit to keep from being too cold.
