A Dominican baby is about to go through surgery to remove its second head.

It's very sad. I have twins, as you know, and I can't imagine how it would feel to be their mother, looking at that second head, knowing that is what it was - her other twin daughter.

I feel bad for that woman, especially since the facial features do in fact move.

I feel bad too, since it's such a tender area for them to be cutting and sewing and grafting. But she mentioned that the doctor told them it was a tumor, so maybe that makes it easier. It's definitely not formed enough for me to feel like it's another person.

I agree. I think the best thing to do is to look at it as a growth (which is basically what it is) and reove it to make Rebeca's life normal.

In a way, they're fortunate that it's just a head - so many situations with conjoined twins involves keeping two babies alive and not just one.
