Whoops. Time has gotten away from me.

Today I'm going to Dad's house. We will take the ugly van that belongs to the recording studio and go to Home Depot and get wood. We will take the wood back to Dad's garage. We will build a platform bed.

Tomorrow I'm going to hang out with rini in Tanasbourne.

Yesterday I saw Haley's hair for the first time. She didn't tell me she cut it all off. It's a shaggy pixie cut now. Day before yesterday it was almost touching her butt. What a big change.

Today Cory's going to work.

Tomorrow Cory's going to work.

Yesterday Cory worked.

Boo for working, but yay for overtime!

platform bed!
I've been wanting to build one of those. What's it going to look like? Where'd you get the plans from?

Well, I made it up myself because I wanted it to be high enough for the dog to fit underneath, but HGTV has some plans here.

I found plans for a platformy bed that was in the first issue of Readymade. They call it the meat bed. Mostly I liked it because it had big-ass casters on the bottom. Looked cool and industrial.
So have you totally scrapped making the bed? I was all gung ho about making my own, but it's going to be expensive I'm sure. I'm wondering if I could get something from Ikea instead. My problem is that I only have a matress, no box spring, so I kind of need a platform bed, or I just have to have my matress on the floor.

Yeah, I totally scrapped it. It was really really heavy, and it was going to cost me over a hundred dollars. Platform beds are pretty popular right now, though, so I'm sure you'd be able to find something for pretty cheap. It just depends on whether you want to personalize it and make it yourself, I guess.
