Cory broke his tooth tonight, on a piece of gristle in our spaghetti with meat sauce. About a third of it is gone, and he could feel a piece wiggling in there, so when he brushed another piece came out. Eww.

Perhaps this will be a good wake-up call for both of us, and we'll be a little better with regular dentist visits and flossing and the like.

(He's not in pain, by the way, which is a really good sign.)

I know! It kind of freaked me out, just the thought of it. :D I think he had a cavity or it was decayed or something, because who the heck breaks their tooth on spaghetti??

oh and i think no pain on broken tooth = dead tooth :(
at least that was the case when i broke a filling and felt nothing. it turned out to be a dead tooth in need of a root canal. fingers crossed that's not the case with cory. it was a nightmare experience.

EWW. My aunt works at a dental office and she said she broke her tooth and it didn't hurt either, and they just had to put a crown in. So hopefully that's the case with Cory's tooth, but if it isn't, I hear root canals aren't as bad as they used to be, pain-wise.
