Yesterday I was very much looking forward to a long, quiet evening at home where I could crochet and sit on the couch and not be frustrated or go anywhere, and then of course I realized I had yoga. So I whined about it for about 30 seconds and then I went. And as soon as I sat down to meditate at the beginning (though I don't meditate, I just sit and relax and start paying attention to myself) I was really glad it was yoga night.

And then this morning I dragged myself out of bed and went for a run. I didn't go nearly as far as I wanted to, as my lungs are still not quite at their full capacity (I'm still coughing up a bit of junk now and then) and I hadn't gone for a week. I also forgot my watch. But I'd mapped out a route and I just cut it a bit short. I ended up going about 2.5 miles, and walked part of the way.

It's a gorgeous morning again. I love this weather so very very much. It actually makes me smile while I'm walking down the street. :D

I think I may audition for a musical this spring or summer. My choices are Jesus Christ Superstar (though I think there's really only one female role in that) and Passions by Sondheim/La Pine (same duo as Into the Woods, which I was in and liked quite a bit).

Today I must look for some sheets for the bed again. Last night as we were making up the bed so we could get in, Cory noticed a tear. I just bought those sheets too! I also need those elastic things you attach to the corners of the sheets so they'll fit on a huge mattress.

Ha. Isn't that what meditating is?

And you should audition for a musical.

And get sheets a size up from your bed size. I got queen for my full and they fit almost perfectly. And my parents got king sheets for their queen pillowtop and they work perfectly.

I thought meditating was more... I dunno, spiritual or something. Maybe it's not and I AM meditating! Gasp!

I read the synopsis for Passions and it looks interesting. Maybe I'll go watch the auditions for JCS and see how they go so I know what to expect.

Oh cool, I'll try getting big sheets. Have you ever tried Jersey sheets? They look really comfy.

Yes, you are meditating. Gasp!

I don't like flannel or jersey sheets, just 'cause I like the feel of plain old cotton sheets. But they're probably nice for cold weather.

I want to get/make a duvet cover too, so that I can just wash the cover instead of washing entire blankets.

Come to think of it, I also want one of those memory foam pillows with the ridge where your neck goes.

Why do I have a feeling this bedding thing is going to suddenly cost a lot? :D

You have just inspired me to go for a walk today. I'm not feeling in the mood for the gym, but a walk I can manage. Thanks!

I love walking in this weather! It smells so good and at least here it isn't super cold, and it's much more interesting than sitting at a machine in a gym that smells like sweat. And it's free!

Hey there, not to be weird, but I was just trying out the new "what school" feature on LJ, and noticed you were at CHS at the same time as I was! Weird!! Ok, you were a grade ahead, but whatever! Did you hate it there as much as I did?

It's not weird, I was just looking the other day to see if I recognized anybody. :) I didn't hate it there, but I was pretty involved in choir and did the musicals every year (and neither were all that bad back then) so that helped. How come you hated it?

Actually, I just didn't like the preppy people. I did a lot of the plays and musicals!! I can't sing, so I did costumes for most of them! What ones were you in??

Oh, you were?! Neat! I was in Sound of Music, Once on This Island, Pirates of Penzance and 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. (I was always the tallest one. It was annoying.)
