Ah, Young Love.

I was just thinking about romantic firsts. Like the first time I held hands with a boy: James, in 8th grade, in the hallway on the way to P.E. My bag was on the same shoulder as the hand he was holding, so it kept getting in the way. (I still have a few notes I wrote to my friend that say things like "I like James soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!")

Here's a little something to divert you this evening: tell me about something silly that you did to try to capture the heart of someone you had a crush on when you were young.

I'll go first: when I was in elementary school, I liked a boy named Greg who lived half a mile from me. In order to entice him to put his arm around me, I pretended to fall down and hurt my ankle when he was at my house, so that he would have to help me hop to the couch to sit down. But he didn't put his arm across my shoulders, he put his hand on the shoulder closest to me, so I was disappointed.

Ha. Greg Krukowski! I remember you talking to and about drooling over James in PE class.

I was too afraid of boys to try to do anything that would draw their attention toward me until I was like...18. :)

I never really did anything to try and capture hearts but I've always been a total klutz on dates especially if I liked the guy. On the first date with Benji I smacked my head on the cafe table and gave myself a fat lip.
