I've spent part of the morning (the part that wasn't getting the oil changed or shopping for lunch and dinner) looking through the Everyday Food magazines that I have a subscription to. I come across recipes like Braised Chicken or Beef Stew and am almost sad, but I still think I'm doing a good thing by changing my diet. I'm taking out all of the meaty-recipe bookmarks that are in these mags, and putting in veggie-recipe bookmarks. So far there are fewer recipes to choose from but I think it'll be good to be a bit adventurous with the choices I'm left with. I've noticed that when I bookmarked these recipes I was in a real meat-and-potatoes (and-no-veggies) kick. Heh.




Look what came in the mail yesterday!

I turned in paperwork for this thing way back in December, but since it was after their deadline for the term, they put me in for the next term.


I kind of have mixed feelings about it - part of me is happy that I have something to show for the couple of years I was in college, and part of me is disappointed that my priorities didn't include a "real" degree. I could have been done and out of school for ages now. Oh well - things don't usually work out the way you think they will. I'm happy with where I am in the world.
