I can't believe it's been 6 weeks already! And I also can't believe it's only been 6 weeks. I feel like it's a part of my life now, having a big basket of fresh veggies each week and learning about new veggies to cook with. And even though I'm not particularly social with the other CSA members or the girl that sits in the back of the truck watching us pick up our veggies, I love seeing all the cute hippies with their cute hippy children coming to pick up their veggies on their bikes. I love watching the kids help unpack the Tupperware boxes and get all excited about their lettuce or their potatoes. It's so cute.
It's hot here. It was 95 or so yesterday, and we had salad and chips/salsa because it was too hot to cook. I had to change into my oh-so-adorable tank top and wear Cory's basketball shorts because my shorts were in the washer. And put my hair up into pigtails so it was off my neck. It took me a little while to get cooled off enough to fall asleep. Today is supposed to be just as hot, and the air conditioning is on full blast already in the office. But I'm going to cook a little bit anyway - I'll make pasta with parsley pesto and tomato and zucchini and squash and onions. Yum.
