Green Leaf Lettuce
I'm excited this week for both the celeriac and the pie pumpkin. I've never made pumpkin pie from a fresh pumpkin before. So I got a backup can of puree, just in case something goes horribly wrong. It does sometimes.
Tonight I used up the celeriac.
I boiled some cabbage, and separately I boiled two kinds of potatoes and most of the celeriac.
Then I mashed the potatoes and celeriac, and mixed in the cabbage and some onion and sprinkled soy cheese on top and baked the shebang while I fried up some snouts.
It was a very British-looking dinner.
(Man, I wish sausages didn't look so gross in close-up photographs.)
